Lenovo Desktops and Notebooks
As Lenovo Business Partners, we work with the leading trade distributors to ensure that we are providing our customers with excellent pricing and product knowledge.
Deploying Lenovo's desktop and laptop computers are a very cost-effective way of bringing strong performance to your users at an excellent price point. Although this top brand looks like it would break the bank, you will be pleasantly surprised at the prices, and there will be some raised eyebrows when your business acquaintances visit your offices!
These computers incorporate the latest technologies to ensure good performance and reliability. Flexible warranty options are available on these machines, from the basic one year return-to-base, to the comprehensive three year next business day on-site warranty.
A choice of form factors means a perfect fit to the needs of your business. Select from Tower, Desktop, Small and Ultra Small, which takes up to 75% less space than traditional Lenovo desktop computer. This space-saving design, along with industry-standard technology, provides ultimate flexibility.
Some systems may include front and back audio ports and eight highspeed USB 2.0 ports (two in front for easy access), making it easy to connect USB printers, scanners, cameras and other peripherals.
These machines incorporate many features to make their administration easier, such as:
Rescue and Recovery
This software (preloaded on selected models) provides a one-button recovery solution that lets you restore your previously saved system image including data, applications and operating system. It also includes a set of self-recovery tools to help users diagnose, get help and recover from a software crash, even if the primary operating system will not boot.
System Migration Assistant
Lenovo's System Migration Assistant makes light work of migrating your old computer's data and settings to a new computer or operating system. By duplicating the source system on a single file, this tool enables you to easily transfer end-user specific data and settings for applications, printers, network connections and personal preferences. This efficient solution helps you to perform mass migration over an enterprise network, Peer-to Peer transfers with a crossover cable, or individual migrations using an external USB hard drive. The effect is that it makes moving users to different machines a much easier task, so allocating the correct spec machine to each user is not as difficult as before.
The ever evolving Lenovo Thinkpad range is available in many guises, providing a solution for every scenario. Choose from the ultra light, ultra portable X Series, the R Series for a capable all-rounder, the T Series for Leading-edge design and power. Whichever you choose, you will have a machine that earns you admiring glances when shown in public.
Many of the administrative features available on the desktop range are carried through to the Thinkpads such as Rescue and Recovery, but with additional features orientated towards mobile users added on.
Take for example the Active Protection System. This is available on many ThinkPad X, T and R Series models and features an integrated motion sensor that continuously monitors movement of the ThinkPad notebook. Like an airbag's sensor, it can detect sudden changes in motion and temporarily stop the hard drive to protect your valuable data from some crashes due to everyday notebook accidents. This ThinkVantage Technology provides up to four times greater impact protection than systems without this feature, thereby helping to decrease employee down-time and reduce support cost.
Most machines include Lenovo's Integrated Fingerprint Reader. Unfortunately, we all have better things to remember than our usernames and passwords; one for Home Internet Banking, one for whatever webmail system we may be using, logins for e-commerce sites...the list goes on! Unfortunately we tend to use the same username and password for all sites, so if one login is compromised, they all are. You can "teach" the client software all of your usernames and passwords, so whenever authentication is required, it is just a question of sliding your fingertip over the integrated reader.
